My goal is about 350-400 Hp and to beat my buddys EVO with a 50 trim (Not heavily modded but damn quick),He has the stock FMIC, running 15-20PSI, maybe a fuel pump I dont know and Full IC Piping. My main questions for this thread is am I missing anything will this get me to 400 hp with a good tune and will I be able to beat his EVO, cause I have been talking mad sh*t :D ?

HX 35, Bullseye housing
External Wastegate which for my setup?
Exhaust Manifold which is best?
Do I need an Intake Manifold?
02 Housing which is best?
I already have 3" 02 back
K&N Filter, Injen pipe
MBC @ 15PSI
FMIC Kit with 3 inch piping
HKS SSQV BOV
Ported Head, 02, turbo
Brian Crower Cams
Walbro 255
750 Injectors
AFPR
DSM Link
Data Logger
EGT Gauge

This has been covered in the Holset threads a few times.

Essentially, you'll need the turbo setup. I've made 400hp on the internal gate HX40 with no issues. You'll need fuel, a pump, a way to control the fuel (AFPR), something to tune the car with (DSMLink).

Depending on which HX35 you have it's probably a little bit larger than said 50 trim. Cam's aren't entirely necessary but always help out.

Give the Holset Thread #3 a lookover and you'll see a few guys make nice numbers on the 35.

You could beat your buddys evo even with a 16g since our cars weigh less, but you don't need an intake manifold because the stock one should be fine (unless you have the money to spend then JMF is sweet), the best exhaust manifold would be the tubular ones, but the stock one will do if the turbo has a mitsubishi flange, the waste gate Tial 38mm. Thats all i can think of right now.

HX 35, Bullseye housing this is a good choice :D
External Wastegate which for my setup?PR o2 housing with tial 38mm
Exhaust Manifold which is best? ported 2g will work well
Do I need an Intake Manifold? No, you don't need one
02 Housing which is best?I prefer the PR ones, s/s of course
K&N Filter, Injen pipegood choice as well
MBC @ 15PSI15 psi :toobad:WTF 25 psi :sneaky::thumb:
FMIC Kit with 3 inch pipingwhy 3"? just wondering 2 1/2" is fine
HKS SSQV BOVplease not a knock off version
Ported Head, 02, turbonot really worth it for 400hp
Brian Crower Cams272's or 280's, don't forget to degree them in
Walbro 255get the high pressure version
750 Injectorsmay be just a tad small
AFPRdon't forget a good flowing fuel filter setup
DSM Linkexcellent choice as well
Data Loggeralready included with dsmlink
EGT Gaugedon't forget a wideband, oil pressure, and boost

Over all your list looks good, I added my 2 cents in red

If 2.5 would be fine I will go that route I just figured 3" exhaust with 3" intake to match would be the best flow wise.

Nice setup but your clutch will be your weak point. I'm building a identical setup Hx35 beh,1050cc,dsm link,pr 02 housing w/38mm,272s,etc.

build your car accordingly. take the proper steps in building up a solid fuel system first then slapping the turbo on. your not going to go anywhere without it. my current setup is way diffrent then yours but when i was running a stock 6 bolt i was running 24 psi with meth injection and pf2 cams and 650cc injectors. with a m10 nozzle i believe i was seeing 82% idc. now with a built motor, ported head,bc 280 cams, and 880cc injectors (stock intake manifold) im seeing about 75% idc at 28psi and flowing 50-52lbs. my current setup is making more power but what im trying to get at is that your going to have to turn the boost up to see what that turbo can do. when i was running on full bolt on's that turbo needed to be at 24psi to start waking up!

btw you will need a 4" intake...

edit: if your on a stock headgasket/studs you run the risk of blowing it. so be careful that that boost levels. i was very lucky and had a motor that blew the rings before the headgasket but not everyone's car is going to do that...

What size injectors would i need if i wanted to run e85 instead of pump? Close to that setup....This is what i was thinking...

-HX35, Bullseye housing Maperformance/Ebay for a used cummins turbo
-Turbonetics Manifold??(maybe? still unsure)
-Punishment Racing o2 housing
-TIAL 38MM Wastegate .9 BAR
-DSMlink V3
-HKS 264 or BC 272
-GM 3" Maf and Maft
-Competition Clutch 2100
-255hp pump
-HKS SSQV bov(real one, no knock offs, seen one on my buddies car and fell apart)
-AFPR
-SS fuel lines
-1050cc Injectors?(or bigger?)
-FMIC(wanting to go short route but unsure yet 2.5")
-3" custom exhaust HKS carbon Ti muffler
-Stainless steel feed, return oil lines
-Buschar Air Filter
-Injen pipe 4" intake
-EGT Gauge
-Wideband 02 Gauge
-Oil Pressure Gauge
-Boost Gauge
-ARP head studs
-Headgasket
-Timing Belt
-LSD
-Rims with some hoosier drag tires(mmm, not exactly street legal though.LOL)

feedback please?:thumb:

1050's would be fine for E85 I would go bigger so you dont have to buy twice but thats just me. Everything has been covered in this thread tons of info out there if you just look around.

To the OP I would make a clutch pretty high on your list. I was slipping with a 16g at only 21 psi. I would also go bigger on your injectors I would say you would run out really quick with only 750's. I also agree 15psiWTF come on at least let the HX35 try and work for you.

holset HX-35W @21Psi, 93oct, pushing a dsmlink est. 430WHP and about 367 LB/ft of toruqe and im to lazy to replace my STOCK clutch. I havn't tried a lauch as im not stupid but i can only make pulls in 2nd and 3rd, tried getting on it from a roll in first and it is pointless.

the stock clutch wont hold up long, but you can make do for awhile, as long as your nice to it. P.S. I smell clutch after a third gear pull.:D
