that setup that you are talking about there is what i plan to have on by the end of the summer...if you get it setup for an external gate, race gas...you should be low 12's...thats what im looking @ considering my 14b @ under 20 psi went mid 13's
those cams are supposed to rip but be pretty street friendly, like i said thats waht i worry about the most..i want something to rip but i need streetability...i go everywhere in mine...if its not a street car get even bigger cams and just rev the fvck out of the car...
idk how i feel about valves and springs and retainers and all that, but if that's your cup of tea...go for it...its just hard for me to go spend all kinda money on that when i seen a 50trimmed car with the same bottom end as me, 1g head ported, 1g cams go in the 11s...why waste money?

That is all very true...I however was trying to keep this a budget build as I have a 2ga Talon that is currently getting a HTA 35R, Built Buschur long block, AEM EMS...so my funds are a little tight right now

well u can get a 16g for mad cheap...external wastegate (i know alot of people hate it but one of the wisemen run it) can be ebay style, the only thing that'll really hurt is the cams...

Forget about all these mods to the engine, you need to worry about getting the power to the ground.
I'm telling you right now your gonna spin the tires like crazy, and then run 13 seconds with hopefully a high mph.
That small 16g tuned right should easily hit 114mph on your FWD.
Without some kind of serious traction this escort is gonna walk you.

How does he have traction issues when he has slicks? A 12.8 is by no means slow... Besides from the mods you will need to get there, I think your biggest concern is learning to launch your car, because that will make or break you in a 1/4 mile. I ran a 14.2 at 5300 ft, and I know my car is capable of running 13's all day because I took out my buddy from a roll who ran that 13.3 on his small 16g. Get a good launch and don't look back.

Nice... My goal is 12.5 before I cash in my S16G. Gives me plenty of hope.

Slightly different setup to you guys as I have an Evo 1, but with the small 16G, meth injection, 264 Comp Cams and a few more little extras I was running a 12.22 1/4 mile.

I believe hes FWD though. ( Perhaps the time was on slicks?)
He didnt post much info about the pass, like what the 1/8 et or trap was, or what the 60ft was?

Is that in reference to me (not too sure)? If so then let me give you a few more details. I was on street radials and on a pretty poor road surface (Okinawa's roads being coral-based don't help one bit with traction). I do have AWD though. My ET was 114kph and the 1/8 was 7.88s (not great at all). 60ft times I can't tell you because I'm going by figures on my Rev/Speed meter. Okinawa has no set up drag strip to measure 1/4 mile times so this is all I've got. And we've no 4WD dyno to measure power either!
