Hey guys,

I need a little tuning help. I have added to many variables at one time and I am at a loss.

Old set up:

1g awd
sm 16g
IDRC race core
0990 pump
550's
8.5:1 oem pistons
crushed bov
2ng gen Maf
pvc 3" intake from fender
knob style afc
centerforce clutch
2 1/2 turbo back exhaust with Magnaflow muffler

best time 12.5 @ 108.1

Now I have added / replaced :

Gt-12 56trim BB turbo from Slowboy racing
720's
supra TT pump
Gm mas and translator
3" custom mandrel intake pipe (filter in fender)
3" turbo back exhaust w/ magnaflow muffler
Safc II (new one)
Act 2600 street

Now my time is 13.6 @ 102.5 Ouch !!!

Ok, So i know I must be pig rich !! but here are my datalogs

20 psi
02's at .92
timing at 16 climbs to 21
base fuel pressure hits is 39 psi (without afpr)
fuel pressure hits 60 psi drops 5-7 psi around 5200 rpm
Airflow maxed at 1606 (gm translor set to 750 injectors)

Why does the car feel like a turd ?

Any help would be appreciated !

James

if your FP gauge is showing 39 psi with the vac line connected you are overrunning like a bi***. Also you should post your actual logs that show advance and knock at each rpm point from the spool threshold to red line. The stock 02 will read anything from.72-.96 don't reference it at all

I thought 37-39 psi was right ?

I think I have found my problem though...... AiIr is gushing out of the breather port on the valve cover during idle...

Performed compression test and got 180 on all 4

performed leakdown and recieved inconclusive results ...

one time #1 showed -8%
next time it showed -2%

same with #4 -8%
then -2%

#2 & #3 were -2% all 5 times.

Regardless of readings, all had air gushing out breather port.

Could it be head gasket ? I really don't want to tear it down for nothing.James

Sounds like a huge boost leak to me. test teh system, set your base fuel pressure to 37psi, and better lean the hell out of that AFC/MAFT. Where are your MAFT/AFC settings? Those are the important #'s we need as well. When I was running the 2G MAS on my Green/660's setup, I was at -19 across teh board on the hi settings, ON PUMP GAS!!

With the MAFT, I've got it set for 660's, -15% across, and then a few more pts. leaned out on AFC. My tuning isn't close to perfect yet, as I need to richen it up a bit, then fine tune with AFC. but i've also got my base fuel set to 45psi, for maximum timing.

I'm still going with a big boost leak for you.
