what comes with boost controller ???

Hey guys I am confused and I need help, my brother had 92 Dodge Stealth R/T twin turbo and he got into big car accident and his passanger (best friend) died R.I.P Stan Lowisz........anyways he had a lot of mods like HKS Valve Controller (boost controll) I took it out of the car but my question is, is that all I need? the unit and the cable? ( I cut the wires) to install it into my 98 GST ???
or there is some kind of a box thats inside the engine for the controller to work (where do you hook up those cables to?)
I need to know cause the car is in the POLICE INPOUND so if I need to go back there please let me know I would appriciate that.
