I have a 92 1.8L engine and I didn't know if yall could help me out? I would like some more knowledge on the MAS. I'm thinking about making my own CAI and I need to know about that sensor... What can I do to it to make it smaller? Does the sensor need to be located in a specific area in the CAI? How do the big companies (like AEM) mount the MAS? Pretty much any information that someone can spew out about this sensor would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

I also have to replace my ECU does anyone know of where I could find one cheap but reliable?

In all honesty, you are better off just hacking the stock air box. You're going to pick up about the same performance with a lot less aggriavation. Step 1: Buy a K&N filter. Step 2: Remove the snorkel from the stock air box that goes towards the headlight as well as the one that heads down to the intercooler filler. These can be removed by drilling out the pop riviets that hold them on. You can also cut a 4X6 (approxiamte) size hole in the side of your canister that faces upwards. Step 3: Pull out your MAS and remove the silencer that is in the back, you have to take the whole thing apart and the tiny screws (I think there are 10 of them) can be tough to get out. I suggest some penetrating oil an hour before you try to take them out. DO NOT cut the two snorkel tubes inside the MAS off or lose the cork gasket that is in there!!! Step 4: (optional) Take the front part of the innner wheel well off on the passenger's side and pull out the intercooler filler. Take a 1 inch drill bit and drill some holes in the side facing the front of the car. This will push a little more air up towards your filter.
Not only will your car be a bit louder, but you will get smoother acceleration and a little better gas mileage.
Your best bet of finding an ECU for a 1.8 is to start checking the junkyards, they are pretty abundant since most people who need an ECU have the 2.0 and they are cheaper since they are not as desirable.
