well after a year.. i am back working at a chevy dealership,, and i am getting back into working on my AWD,, just wondering if there are any new products for tuning that are better and easier to use,, i have never tuned a DSM before, my first car i only had a month before i traded for my current AWD car,, which hasn't ran since i traded,, LOL so i am new to the tuning world,, and i need some help:D

DSMLink has been around for awhile but like my dad always say's "if it ain't broke don't fix it!" The same goes for tuning software, if the old sh!t stills gets the job done why go looking for newer better when there is none?
You still have your DSMlink option, with the new and improved V3 - ECMTuning, Inc.

Gus down here in SOCAL found out you can wire in and run a Evo VIII ECU in a 2g and use EvoScan to tune - http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/tuning-engine-management/321515-evo-8-ecu-2g-works.html

Ceddy found you can flash the '98-'99 2g ECU too - http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/tuning-engine-management/338754-first-flashed-dsm-ecu-98-99-flashing-faq.html

The problem is it looks like you drive a 1g, so dsmlink looks like the road I'd go or the old OLD school SAFC/logger setup.

I second the ds-map, It's cheap, easy to set up and extremely effective. Plus no more crappy ass maf to deal with, just a map sensor and an iat (intake air temp). I just recently switched to it and my car runs and drives MUCH better, and by the feel of the butt dyno i picked up a couple few horsies.:hellyeah:

I've been using DSMap for a while now, I really like it. When I remember to plug in all the sensors the car fires right up and runs great. Tuning is easy, and with a friend it goes really fast with real time updates. It's also super cheap.
