Things are rather difficult to get running with out any variables in the mix. My recomendation is try to get the car running on the stock ecu first. Once you are sure the car runs fine, then try to get it running on the AEM.

I once said my goal was 400 hp and that quickly went by the wayside. If you go AEM, you will never need to replace it. I had an AFC, then DSMLINK V1, Then V2, Then DSMLINK with MAFT, now I have an AEM and it is the endall. The dsmlink is much much much much much much easier to use. If you are new, do the dsmlink.
The AEM can use a GM boost control selonoid to control boost so an external boost controller is not necessary.

There is no ecu turn off. It is supposed to do it on its own. Hold old is your unit. The first few that came from AEM had a problem like this. If you call them up they will have you run some tests. If it comes back that this is one of those units, you send it into them and they will fix it and send it right back.

I have 0098. I guess I will get a hold of the tech line tomorrow. On a side note my car was tuned by Nick Drake from PINA motorsports. He has it running like a gawd damn top right now. I cant wait til the water injection goes on. Is anyone running the two step and getting more than 8 lbs at the line? Thats as much as I can get right now.

I have an EMS for my 1G.
Using AEM 3.5 bar and IAT
I have tuned several Honda and DSM AEM EMSystems.
I also have Experience with several other Engine Management Systems, including haltech SDS, FCON, AFC, DSM link ETC ETC.
Hands Down AEM has been the most valuable investment several of my Friends and customers have made for their vehicles.
The customer support is Top notch. Several experienced Tuners on the AEM boards
are always giving indepth valuable tuning tips and how to's for all vehicle applications.
The AEM offers the user almost endless possibilities of tuning and hardware support.
If you want to run a ford TB and IAC on your honda Or Mitsu you can. If you want to have a rpm dependant boost controler you can. If you want a gear dependant boost controler, you can. If you want Programmable traction control, you can. If you wan to data log any sensor, you can. The list of options goes on and on and on.
