Even with my car running and having the stripped out rear seats, you hear how loud a walbro is. I wish it was audible outside the car though.
My old 96 RS-T in the photo <<< over there had the metal tank and sending unit with the 8mm nuts. The wally 255 sounded like I had a supercharger hidden in the tank.

Hey Ceddy that is a wonderful break through on that coding, you are a remarkable genius and this is some of the most amazing work I have seen in years, and in all honesty it has revitalized my interest in DSM completely. So with that all said keep up the amazing work. I am so happy that I don't have to change my 2G MAF now to get some real power out of it but I also get to keep the stock look for the emissions people.
This is a great thread keep up the work.. I hope this will be an option for us at local tuner shops. Or is it already. I just sold my GVR4 with DSM STG3 chip and will be picking up a Spyder/GST this weekend and knowing I can flash the ECU like I did with me EVO will be FANTASTIC..

Thanks. Any shop that can tune an Evo with EcuFlash can tune a Flashable DSM, they are pretty much the same thing tuning wise. I recommend tuning your car yourself to most people, you will learn a lot about your car that way. But if you are not comfortable with that, there are a lot of reputable EcuFlash tuners.
It seems like the idle control code (or just the settings) is better in the dsm ecu's as the evo ecu makes car's idle a bit weird, even in an evo. I'm not the first to say this either.
This is for evo8 ecu in response to the last two posts do not consider this valid information for DSM ecus.
It is actually an evo7 rom but regardless 9055 cannot be used with a 98/99 ecu. FWIW 9055 always felt slow and crappy on my car. 9653 only took a little bit of work to make it idle right for me. Make sure you properly adjust your BISS then change your idle area timing from 5* to 7* I don't know fore sure but I think changing 0-1000RPM in the 0-60 load range to 7* is approximately right.
Edit: Looks like this thread was cleaned up a little bit and the posts I responded to are gone. The first sentence is still applicable to this topic so I'll leave the post but if a mod thinks it should go away or be shortened down feel free to what whatever you want to it.
I am currently running the extended maps rom with a evo maf and I seem to be hitting fuel cut, and getting a p1103 code which is wategate solenoid. I double check the boost cut setting under limits and it is correct. The car is currently at 22 psi on a b16g. Not sure if I am missing something here.

Post in the evo8 ecu thread.
I refuse to help you in this thread and I hope no one else will either, this thread is for H8 discussion and you are shitting it up.
Post your question in the other thread and I will happily help you.
Edit: Damn your confusing, why do you have two Ecus listed in your profile? I am assuming that since you mention boost cut you are talking about the evo8 ecu and this is supported by "currently running 03 evo8 ecu" in your profile but for the time being PLEASE take out one ecu or the other from your profile.
I swapped back to the 2g ecu because the car would barely drive with the evo 8 ecu and this is my DD. I am going to stick with the 2g ecu for awhile, It seems alot les complicated to figure out.
What sort of loads are you seeing when you hit fuel cut? IDCs? Do you still have your stock bcs connected but without vacuum hoses? A removed or failed bcs is AFAIK the only reason that you would get a wastegate solenoid malfunction and I doubt that it is related to your other problem.
The air flow/ rev load is at 200 and the Airflow HZ is a 1530.
I am really not sure if the solenoid is there or not. It has never thrown that code before until it hit what I think is fuel cut twice.
Most likely throwing a code because its trying to use the wategate solenoid and its not there.
To get rid of fuel cut, change Boost Cut Delay Timer in the Limits section to something large.
My next release has a way to turn the fuel cut off permanently. Everything is coded, just need to do some testing before release.
I have also made a BigMaps version, which is large Ignition and Fuel maps. The Evo guys have reported some driveability issues when you rescale the low load areas of the maps like I did for Extended maps, so i did Big maps so we wouldn't have this issue.
I am running on the extended maps version you made that already had the boost cut timer limit raised to its max. I also tried the other rom and raised the boost cut timer limit myself with no change. It does it in second or third gear at about 5k rpm. The af raito is at about 10.5 until it happens.

I will help test the new version if you need!
Add this to your 20550011.xml
PHP Code:
<table name="BoostLimit (Set to 0 to disable, 1 to enable)" category="Ceddy Mods" address="22a41" type="1D" level="4" scaling="uint8"/>
Then change it to 0 in EcuFlash to disable Boost Cut. This will make it skip the Boost Cut code entirely. Let me know how it works for you.
Just got my ECU in. Has MD346676 written on it. I'll be buying a tactrix soon, anyone know of a used one for cheap that's around?
Oh, does anyone have a completely untouched .xml for EvoScan? I want to start as fresh as possible after all the Evo ECU crap I dealt with and getting one here would be easier then uninstalling everything and emailing the EvoScan people to get a new copy.

Ceddy, worked like a charm!! The car will rev at full boost to the rev limiter now.
I have been meaning to get a donation your way, will do so shortly.
I would like to add a 3 or 5 bar map sensor to my car, which sensors will the 2g ecu read? I have some AEM kavlico sensors at the shop that have no home, although I am not sure if they are 3 or 5 bar. I assume it wires in place of the stock MDP sensor?

Yes it replaces the MDP. Change the formula in EvoScan to match your sensor and you are good to go. (MDP is RequestId 38) I'm running a GM 3 BAR.
You should disable EGR in the Periphery Bits if your car has one.
Because a 3 or 5 Bar sends a lower voltage then the stock 1 Bar at the same pressure, the EGR will operate sooner then its suppose to.
Edit: The 2G can use any 5v MAP sensor. You should use one that the formula is known for, check out EvoM for Sensor/Formulas.
