I have the VAG com cable. When it asked me for what drivers to install I installed the drivers that came with the cable. The program was still giving me the same .dll error after I did that. So then I downloaded the D2XX drivers and copied the files from the 386 folder to the windows system folder. I did this because it wasnt going to ask me for drivers for the cable again since I already installed the ones that came with the cable. Once I copied the D2XX drivers to the system folder the .dll error no longer came up, but the program doesnt recognize that I have a cable connected.

Well i just ordered the VAG.COM cable... This looks sweet. Can't wait. Can we mess with the timing and fuel tables??
It sounds like when the openport 2.0 cable becomes available that you probably will be able to use ecuflash. I'm excited but it will take some time for any modified roms to mature.

What VAG cable do you have? There are like 50 different kinds.
I have a 409.1
You can't just copy drivers to the system folder. Windows needs to handle that.
Google search how to remove drivers using the control panel.
Ok. I found some other problems. I tried the new version and started to get errors.
It just kept trying to connect. Not even the "Stop Scan" button would stop it. I had to exit out.
But, when I tried to connect with 95-96 it worked just fine.
Hybrid doesn't work when I try Evoscan, why will it work with your program?
Using Openport 1.3U cable. It was COM 10 with my LC-1 on COM 8.

Ceddy this is some really nice work man flippin 1001+ thumbs up.
I'm not really sure on which cable would be best to order atm. I know the logger is still in beta but which is the best cable to order/use. I'm sure everyone who has read up on this wants to know what you suggest overall.
ATM i'm looking at ECMTuning's cable for 75$ that's steep but for what your logger is doing, Well Worth it. I have a 99 GSX and going to use the program asap! Thanks for making the Datalogger!

You may want a cable that will let you flash the 99 ecu if/when they figure that out.

It isn't available yet. The OpenPort 2.0 is entirely different than the ones on the market now and to reflash the 98/99 ecus you need to supply 12v to the datalink pin. In later ecus this voltage is supplied internally but with the DSM ecu it needs to be provided externally which is why the cables that exist now will not work in our cars.
Get the cheap cable that others are using and resell it or throw it away later.

Dang, that's awesome so saying later we will be able to reflash our ECU's?
If so ...hehehehe =D
btw which cable are you guys recomending i noticed Ceddy using the 409.1?? right?
I'll pick that up tomorrow if that's the correct one. The reason why i'm trying to verify is because it looks like so many ppl use diffrent cables. i'm the 99 ECU so please throw me a help line =)
I just checked and the openport 2.0 cable is available but I do not believe there is any work so far on using it with DSM ecus. The cable appears to be physically ready to do the work but the software support doesn't exist yet AFAIK.

16 volts to reflash.
Everyone asking about cables. The VAG 409.1 I have performs the same as my OpenPort 1.3U.
People having Initialization/Sync problems, I'm working on it.
I think there is to much variance, between different years communication speed/delays to do a polled set-up.
I'll switch back to a interrupt driven set-up. I'm still trying to find the best way to do it.

Thanks for everyones interest.
I'll suffer through the beta testing to help get this up and running.
Thanks for all your work.

I've seen that a few places but my understanding is that that information was found to be incorrect. I could of course be wrong but that was my understanding at least. Regardless it doesn't change the hardware situation or compatibility with your program or DSM ecus.
Guys, I wanted to clarify something here. Our cable happens to work with this software, but PLEASE do not call here asking us to debug some connection issue you're having with MHIScan. If the cable installs and the device manager isn't complaining about it, then that's the best we can do. From there on, it's probably a software issue or a physical wiring issue in the car.
so how many samples a sec will i be able to log with the hybrid mod on my 95 with the vag cable. i'm only getting 2-2.5 a sec with my elm323 cable. i'm still waiting on my cable from china !

With Evoscan I got around 10 when I tried mine. I get like 150 now with my Evo ECU installed
