I think he couldnt turn his boost down due to boost creep issues.
If his log only showed 8 counts of knock he's actually ok, especially being what rpm he mentioned.
Op post a log so I can see everything myself.

It sounds like you are on the right path to fixing the majority of your problems. If you do, however, have a leak at the 02/downpipe connection, this can cause issues with boost control and finicky out of boost performance. I know this from personal experience.

Ok . Did not fix the exhaust leak I am just waiting for the turbo and fmic. My boost seems to be holding around 17 but I am jumping 23 maybe 24 my boost is very inconsistent. When I first start to boost however when I'm hitting that much boost and I'm not getting any knock at all. But this is real weird when I'm in third when I start to boost I'm reaching like 14-17 counts of knock and I'm barely in boost or throttle. Is this ok?
Edit--Should I control my boost levels depending on knock(until I buy a wideband)?

Do this. Do a pull in third gear at wot from about 2.5k to 6k and log it. Post up the results. It's normal for a car to show knock while going through the gears but I'd keep the boost turned down. Did you check the wires and plugs yet?

I logged today and was only getting 8 counts of knock in a 3rd gear pull. I changed plugs because I used the sea foam to clean it out. It has the ngk bp6 in it now and that is what was in it.The wires are stock but in good shape.

The seafoam should help, and you want the ngk br7es not the bp6es.
Some of your knock may be phantom but keep working at it not to assume.

Hey man, guys have given you the answer multiple times, take their advice and study. Furthermore, DSMLINK is your best friend. It's a key to having a good tuned DD. SAFC is fine for what it is, but the LINK is the best way to go, but it's a little pricey. Try getting an AFPR and see if that helps your boost problem. If you don't fix this very soon, your next thread will read, "HELP I BLEW MY MOTOR." Hope you figure this out soon. Goodluck

Well I'm not really have any trouble anymore.I would love to go spend close to a grand for dsmlink and a laptop but its not in the cards right now. I just got laid off and am looking for new employment but I'm not having any luck yet. How will a afpr help my boost trouble? I just found a b16g and when its torn off I'm going to port everything to help boost problems.

I have a brand new FMIC in my basement if you need one. Don't have the piping but it's cheap if you go to a muffler shop. PM me if you're interested.

Becareful the 16g will likely creep worse.
I recommend you fully port everything, and enlarge the wastegate hole
in the o2 housing as much as physically possible. Holding 15psi without creep is
completely do able with proper porting. The FMIC would be a nice next mod.
Running the BR7ES plugs over your current plugs would also help some amongst other things. Your knock counts are fine actually, but still, id try to get it to remain under 5 counts just for your current setup until you can get your fmic and know your not heatsoaking and getting worse knock counts with every pull; especially on those hot days.
