What a d!ck. he lists it as an EPROM but doesn't know. I'd make him take a picture of the board and send it to you. I have 2 EPROM ECUs myself and a friend I know sockets them and does the caps and all the EPROM ECU I have ever seen have an E on them.

Using the caps program, it tells me that that is a 2nd Gen ECU from a car build 1.1.94-6.3.95. It is possible it is an EPROM. No real way to tell without opening it up.

That is not an eprom. That's a ECU case :D. How difficult is it to remove 4 screws and see if it's got an EPROM? The guy is an idiot.

ahh ok.. sorry guys i was confused.. the spot that says E is not on the case itself but on the board itself.. ill remember that for the next time.. im working on getting another one as I speak ;)

Mike

Another thing you might want to check for or to know for future reference is that the ecu's out of the '90 E/T/L are different then all the others. They dont have the "E" designation on the case so just take off the case and check for the chip :)
