My tuning Experiences

Just thought id share my tuning experiences. I am not reccomending my methods to tuning newbies, but just sharing what worked great for me.

Installed FIC 680's. Used logger to set STFT's for the LO's perfectly, however I just could not get the HI's dialed in with the logger. o2 voltage is useless, it cxhanges with every run, and no matter what settings I tried my timing had dips, and the car would just not "feel" right. What did I do? Said to hell with the logger for now, its just confusing me more than I need to be. I preset my highs at -18% because I KNEW that would be rich. Did a run. Car accelerated slowly, gurgled like a rich car would, and I smelled gas. Leaned it out 1% and did another run. I repeated until my car started feeling faster. Finally I got to the point to where my car accelerated strong and felt/sounded just like it did with the stock injectors. THEN I stuck back on the logger, log looked pretty darn good. Leaned the bottom out 1% more, and left the top just a tad richer, and now my cars running great. Tonight ill start cranking the boost as close to 20psi as I can get.

I feel that I know my car well enough to do this, having a boost leak for a month helped me to know exactly what too rich sounds like, and riding in my friends car let me know exactly what too lean sounds like Anyway, once again not reccomending this to everyone, but it feels prety good to have that confidence in knowing I can. The tuning was done at 11psi and obviously I wouldnt raise the boost any higher until I could confirm that my tuning was accurate with the logger.
