Has anyone ever seen a speed cut in a 1g ECU? I have just obtained a socketed (with stock 450 chip) E-prom ECU that was supposed to be a viable replacement for a non eprom one I had.My problem occurs at 115 MPH and is evident at full OR partial throttle.The car will NOT accelerate until it attains a 3-5 mph drop in speed then kicks like a mule....for 3-5 mph....then cuts again. I wondered about engine speed affecting it and tried again in 4th gear....now at roughly 6800 rpm and it still cuts at the same speed
.I never heard of anything like this in the almost 3 years I have been building & modding mine.Anyone out there have anything to tell me from their own experience? Any ideas?
I believe the outfit I got it from will stand behind it but I am still confused by it being what it seems to be. This is a '90 also which were a one year ECU and NONE were 'SUPPOSED' to be this way
...ANYONE??? Also would one think a modded chip (TMO/Keydiver) would end this BS ?
