I hope you are not running too much boost like that. You should saving for 660's, not 550's.

Yes, I would suggest some nice 650-660 instead of 550's. With the Safc you can lean them down enough to not over run the injectors. (550's are sufficiant, but why not have some room to get things moving)

Do you have an EGT gauge, and o2 volt meter, and an a/f gauge? Or do you have a pocketlogger? Without these I wouldn't touch the s-afc, just because of the bad stuff that could happen. Either get these or take it someplace to get it tuned.

Leave it at 0 until you get dyno time, in which case you MAY be able to make a few adjustments, and enjoy the blueness of it.

Any ideas where to start at with a S20g and 680 injectors? I have fmic, 3"exh., afpr @ 43psi, and a SAFC and could use a base setting. And boost will be set at 17psi and 21 psi. Thanks..
Oh, I do have a EGT gauge and datalogger.

i think my afc is junk
i think i am going to go back to the 1g hacked mass. when i was running the 1g hacker i was at about +5 across on the high side. oh i have 660's, and run stock fuel pressure. with the 2g mass all hell breaks loose. all my setting have to be changed all the #uckin time. when i am out on the highway have to lean it out.(low side, and sometimes the high too) or else i will start fouling plugs. thats just after it was working perfect in town. and yes i know what i am doing. tuning is easy with the 1g mass. i have been tuning with it for a couple years now. also when i let off the gas to fast it dies or has to catch itself. the screw on the 2g mass is like half way in. when it seems to be making awsome power the high side is at like +28. ok now thats just not right! anyone else have this kind of trouble? either way i think i am putting the trouble free 1g back on tommarow. hope the 60 trim garret doesnt over run it. what ever over running is.

need some help
i need some help with afc settings if someone wolldnt mind helping me out
i just bought another 1g dsm, the guy i bought it from didnt know anything about afc settings. it has 550s, a 2g mas, big 16g turbo on 15 psi, 255 fuel pumo without an AFPR(has 3", fmic, ic piping, and an external gate on the #1 runner, but i dont think that really matters for afc settings, i could be wrong)
when i bought the car it had everything set to 0 across the board, with the 550s it ran like crap and spit a mist of fuel out the exhaust. there is about 3 seconds of hesitation when i step on the gas before it picks up and goes(and it really goes, its fast even with the carp settings)
the TH points are 30% and 80%
i set the low to -6 across the board, and the high to -5, i think its still to rich, still white smoke from unborned fuel comming from the exhaust but not as bad
i just want to know a good place to start from with the tuning, i want it to run decent so i can drive the car, i can gradually tunt it later
i was thinking something like -12 across the board, but i dont know much about what the high and low settings of TH points should be
i appriaicte any help, thanks to everyone in advance

got news for you... white smoke isnt unburned fuel.... its coolant... check your compression. you might have a bad head gasket

ill be sure to check the head gasket since you said something, but the smoke smells like gas
i dont think the afc is even working, it might not be hooked up right
i think the sensor type might not be set to karman, the car is sitting in my friends driveway so i cant sheck right now
like i said, the guy didnt have the afc tuned at all, everything was set to zero, so the settings in ect. probally arent set, he didnt know anyting about an afc, and the car has rc 550 injectors
put it this way, it took more gas for me to drive it home 1 way then it took my friends 2g to drive both ways and then some, the engine feels like its getting way too much fuel, and the air/fuel guage stays all the way on rich(but it might not be hooked up right cause it has never gone down from all the way rich/green)
iv got tags for it now, so i can get it out of my friends driveway, im going to mess with it and check all the airing for the safc, the 2g mas thats on the car, and a few other things and see if it helps
i still could use some settings to start out with for a 1g with 550s and a 2g mas
thanks for the help though
