The car runs good, but still at WOT I peg the green light down rich. This is pretty close tuning for me. I plan to use my new EGT guage with settings other than the above to see if I can find a sweeter spot.
Also remember Im tuning other than sea level, Im in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the altitude is different than other AFC set ups. Im sure if any one uses this set up at different altitude it should be close enough to let you fine tune for your own set up. Good luck

There are a couple of them here in the Tampa area that are running them. Try
www.tamparacing.com
our regular BB is down right now.
but when you go to tamparacing.com go to mitsubishi maybe you can get to them

Th point 60% & 80% (many people are moving up the low to 50-60%)

Wow! Thanks man. I must of been ignorant not to try moving up my low throttle point. I just took your advice and I'm stunned with the SOTP difference. Smooth low end torque. YESS!

well its not a choice but i can give some info. i have a 19c, stock mas, 550's, walbro 255, afc2. my settings are:
th point :low-30% and high -70%
low throttle dont seem to mean much to me, i just made the autometer gauge sit on lean and went up 2% from there so it references back and forth.
my high settings are negative 18 until 3k when full boost hits then i have negative 14 so it has a little more fuel from 3k to 4k. then the rest are all negative 20%.
on these settings i ran a 12.7 on pump gas on 18" rims at 24 psi so i think it works pretty well. my egt's only hit 1600f when i'm on the highway in 4th and 5th gear doin over 110 mph. i'll have dsmlink soon so i can check knock and control timing

Word to the wise, never get so drunk that you mistake your logger for a tv remote......now I have to buy a new one....really bad timing considering my SAFC is assed right now.

My settings

If you are planning on upgrading, BUY A POCKET LOGGER! Other than "free" mods, you need one. I don't care what you think or say. Don't whine that you don't have the money for one. If you can't afford the logger, you sure as hell should upgrade. Got it? Good.

2G

small 16G
550's
190 FP
3" O2 elim/cat back
ported turbo/manifold

Hi
-13 across

With this I am getting .98V @WOT and no timing retard.

I just bought the APEX'i S-AFC 2, i am really impressed with all what it has to offer. I'm not going to mention all my mods, but i have the 16G, with stock 450's, smic, and holley 190lph fuel pump. I had the thing at High setting -10 all across the board from 5 to 7 thou rpm. But i wanted to smooth it out, so i started leaning it out at 2800 rpm right where it starts to get into boost, going from -1 all the way to -9 at 7000 rpm, i am not getting any knock on AFC 2 as it shows. and then low i have it running rich at 2800 by +1 and then goin up to +3 then falling off to -5 by 7000 rpm, and the HI and lo settings at 30 and 60.. Hey it works ok for me, i am going to tune it on the dyno here soon... As for now i wil be getting my 550 injectors next week, and the stcopk ones are whinning at 6500 rpm and higher.... hope that helps some...
I probably wont be able to reply to this for awhile, i am on a computer in a public library i don't have one at my house i moved into in lexington yet...

I have a question, i know this thread may be a bit old, but please bare withme and if you can give me your opinion. Does the temp have a major impact in the fuel trims and running decently rich and richerrrr. I tune the lo settings using a datalogger and well my car seems to need a lot more gas than when i tune the lo settings at night. Also the car for exmaple today it rained like a mo fo down here in Miam and the car seemed to be running all the sudden richh!!! Like i bogged every know and then under accelaration. Any comments or ideas. Humidity and the temp of the day has a big impact on tuning and fuel trims?? Thanks

Yeah it does, when its Damp outside, there is water, moister in the air, when its cold, the air is denser and will run better. When the air is hot and dry, it runs like crap almost, its like a normal human, i'm not saying our car will run ever in these conditions, but have you ever had trouble breathing in a Dry sauna, then go outside of it. You can breath so much better.. Thats why i love driving my car in the summer nights when its about 70 degree rather than 93 like it has been here lately..I think that might help with the fuel trims you a talking abotu and tunning with them...

I just got my safcII installed. I've got a 16g at 17.5psi and a rewired 255lph pump on STOCK injectors still. Any advice on a starting place for tuning? I'm running pocketlogger so i'll be checking my timing the whole way.
