Princeton,
I have what I've been told an early 95 talon. It's the tsi awd, does that mean I can use the dsmlink for the 1st gen's. how can I make sure, and I'm about to wire up a apex safc is it differenet now???

You need an EEPROM ECU from a 95 in order to use a DSMlink.

BTW, your ECU is mounted in the center of the dashboard, behind the stereo.

Unscrew and remove the kick panel to the right of the drivers legs, and get you head up underneath with a flashlight and mirror.

If you still can't read the label, there's 2 10mm bolts in the front of the ECU, where the plugs go. Remove the center kick panel on the passengers side also, and there is one more 10mm bolt holding down the ECU on that side. Side out the ECU without removing the plugs and you can read the label.

There should be a small "E" in the lwoer right hand corner, as illistrated on both DSMLink's faq, and here:
