The fp2x cams cam be tweeked so that they have the same valve timing as fp3 cams by altering the cam timing (lobe centerline angles). Fp3 cams are a better choice for strokers than fp2x cams when installed straight up (no cam timing changes). But if you buy a set of fp2x cams for your 2.0L you can upgrade to a stroker later and have what the fp3 offers because the fp2x cams have identical ramp rate and lift and duration to the fp3s. You'll just need to buy ONE adjustable cam gear for the exhaust and retard it 3-5 degrees to turn fp2x cams into more stroker-friendly fp3 cams.

Fp3x cams are better still for strokers because the have been designed for the stroker in mind (different lobe centerline angles than fp2 and fp2x and fp1 and fp1x) but they have more lift than the fp3 and fp2x cams and a VERY slightly more aggresive ramp rate.

And as my memory searves me with my setup changes over the years. I gained a faster spool with the bigger 60-1 turbo with the fp2x cams, but I noticed quite a drop in spool speed with the small 16g and 18g: both of those had unclipped tdo5h turbine wheels and 7cm^2 turbine housings.

So fp3x's the way to go with a stroker with 8k rev limit over fp2x's even after the exhaust cam retarding?

They have more lift than fp2x cams with very slightly more ramp rate, so yea.

Get this I talked with FP direct didn't catch the guys name but he actualy said he doesn't really even reccomend the fp3x's anymore because they are hard to setup and because they are such a aggressive cam that they really don't make a stronge enough spring for the 4g63 I'm not gonna call them out but there has been plenty of people to run fp3x's with dual springs setups and have been fine now all of sudden aka they have fp4r and fr5r cams they don't think that the 3x is tame for any spring out there.

Anyway to the point of my post I was looking at supertech springs and saw they had two vesrions. Idk if the set I'm looking at is the normal one that everyone gets because for $10 I have no idea why you would get the weaker spring but here's a link to the sprinsg I want to get for my fp3x's. Anyone running these they call them Supertech Dual spring High pressure?

After looking at Fp page those Beehives they sell are .500"(12.70mm) max lift and the Super Tech High pressure springs are 12.80mm(5.04") so these things are a little better than the ones that FP pushes
