I could've sworn that i read somewhere that there are 5 holes on the 2.4L block that need to be plugged before attatching the '63 cylinder head. just wondering if someone can tell me if this is true or not? and if so, anyone know which holes? diagrams? pictures?

thanks

What block are you using? I have a block out of a 91 Sonata and I didn't have to any holes to fill in.

well karking in ontario CA has a block out of a 89-91 sonata, i was thinking of picking that up to put into my 2g. but i read somewhere that there are some 2.4L blocks that need to get plugged, so i thought i'd ask for a picture before committing.

Well to be more clear because most 2.4's are sohc, only 7 bolt blocks have the holes that you are thinking about. All 6 bolt 2.4's are the exact same as a 4g63 therefore nothing needs to be done, everything all lines up.

I know this is a old post, but for the g4cs block to be exactly the same as the 2.0 block there is two holes on the deck, beside cylinder 1 that need to be drilled to be exactly the same
