2.4 stroker base timing

Hey I'm finally getting my car back together nd was wondering what you guys with the 2.4strokers runnng for ignition timing? Should I keep it at the stock 5 degs, or advance it some. I'm running a Holset HX35. Thanks

If you have a 6 bolt with the 1G CAS you just keep the base timing and most likely since you have a 95 with a 2.4 I am assuming you have DSMlink. I would just adjust timing advance with that.

Does anyone have any timing maps for a 2.4L bottom end (8.7:1)?

Also, I'm running an HX35 with FP3 cams on an unported 1G head. Aiming for around 25psi and I have plenty of fuel. Any timing maps out there?

Timing maps depend on the ECU you are using. The ECU will determine the amount of timing advance based on airflow measurements. Are you looking for the OEM timing maps from a 2.4 ECU?

A partial timing map for a 2g ECU can be found here:

The actual timing map is 3 dimensional.

I just read your mod list, nice car

Are you just looking for a timing map to enter into your autronic ECU. If so, the link given in the previous post should give you a good idea on what the map should look like (min, mid, and max lines).
