Okay I did a search and couldnt find anything. I installed the MBC, tapped into the BOV line and capped off the Compressor boost output. I adjusted the the MBC and adjusted and adjusted no joy, boost goes up to 12psi and sticks, wont go higher. So I thought hmm just to see, I took the line off the wastegate and cappped the line from the MBC so wastegate had no boost to it, just to see if I could get it over 12psi, NOPE goes to 12 and stays. Now I thought hmm maybe my boost gauge is hung up as I have never seen it go over 12, well hooked up air to it and got 25psi, so its going up. Could it be the BOV leaking that bad, or????? Help! I do have a 2g BOV right now, 1G is in the mail now.

it could be that it is leaking that bad. i have heard they aren't worth the plastic they are made out of. give it a shot when you get your 1g BOV.

Great thanks guys, yep like I said have on on the way, but had the MBC so already installed, so I guess, my car is another fine example of the fine quality of the 2g bov!

same thing happened to me. My mbc was busted and the wastegate was running full boost..but due to the fact of a leaky ass 2g BOV..it would not go passed 13.5psi. I guess i lucked out and got it passed 12. Now i got a 1gbov and good mbc. Car is running great

Well put the 1g BOV on there today, and fixed it, had 20psi before getting boost controller set right. And for anyone wanting to put a 1G bov on your 2g I found an easy cheap way to do it. I had the stock 1G flange/pipe along with the 1G bov and you can use a dremel and cut out the weld inside the hole of the flange, then the flange comes off the pipe. And the 2g bov pipe that goes into the stock upper ic pipe is 1.325 in dia. Just so happens 1" black steal gas or Galv pipe like you get at home depot is 1.325 in dia. Get a 4" nipple and cut the threads off, they will do it for free at home depot, and weld it onto the stock 1G flange, perfect fit, nipple was $1.15 and welder charged me 15 to weld kinda pricey for such an easy weld I think but still cheap. Works great. Maybe someone has already done this but ohh well figured I would mention it. I know an upper IC pipe would have been the way to go, but didnt want to spend the money right now, and didnt want to wait for delivery, this will work till then.

Ok, the same thing is happening to me, but I have a 1G with 1G BOV (duh LOL. Could that also be the BOV? I have none a leaktest and I cant find any leaks.

You could do what I did, just be careful and pull the line off your wastegate actuator, and plug the line so no boost leak, this way your wastegate stays shut, then should boost right up, if not would say you have a leak somewhere in the intake tubing, which includes the BOV. Try and find someone with a spare or borrow someones slap on yours see if it fixes it.

be very f#cking careful when doing this. you don't want to overboost and blow up your car.
