hey guys, i recently got a cel p0335 on my car. this happen when i was coming home from school and i decided to do a 3rd gear wot so i can log it. well i did the 3rd gear pull and when i came home i noticed that my a/c didnt work. i didnt have it on either when i did the pull. also i noticed my idle was kind of high so i turned off the car and then started it back up and i saw a cel code of crank position sensor a malfunction. the car idles roughly too. i know u guys might think thats its crankwalk. but i dont hear any noises when the clutch is in or when i make a left turn in gear nor do i have the clutch pedal going to the floor. i have 111k on the motor. u think the crank angle sensor could of just gone bad? or maybe something hit it and knocked it loose? i waited about 3 hours and then i started the car up again. this time the idle was normal and everthing was good, but still no a/c. so i turned it back off and cleared the code but the cel light is still on. i go to restart it and it gets the funny rough idle again. i dont know whats going on. also do i have to take of the timing belt to change out the crank position sensor? please let me know guys. thanks cuong

actually i dont think many people would have thought that was crankwalk. Crankwalk is a gradual killer. Take a look at your crank pully and see if it wobbles when the car is turned on.

No but you will have to remove the crank pulley and lower TB cover. In the pic I've attached it's the black thing held on with 2 bolts with wires coming out of it. But before you do this, make sure it's not just it's connector making a bad connection. It's on the rear of the lower TB cover near the hole you put the TB adjusting rod tool in which BTW is right above your A/C belt....ummm.

Not saying you have crankwalk but if you did and it was severe enough, the sensor blade would start carving out the slot in the crank angle sensor destroying it. Check if you can push/pull the crankshaft at all (via the pulley) in the crank length direction (loosen accessary belts first). You also mentioned no A/C. Is your A/C belt still on? If it snapped make sure it didn't damage the crank angle sensor wire.

i still see the a/c belt on the car, also i can still start the car up. and it doesnt make any noises with the clutch in nor did the clutch sank when left turns. it just had a cel for the crank position sensor and rough idle because the crank position sensor signals to the ecu for the right fuel and idle. anyone else have their thoughts? please help. im at work right now so i cant inspect the car as of now. thanks cuong please let me know
