Oh man you will NOT be disappointed. I remember when I first got my JIC's on from John, the car was a completely different animal. My springs are a purple color however, I wonder what the difference is. Anyone?

In what little I've driven the car, I'm amazed. It's a little darty at the moment with the alignment being off (tape measure can only do so much), but man does it respond. It honestly feels like someone took an AWD system and slapped into a Miata. Big task in front of me adapting to so many changes, but I know one thing. The limiting factor isn't the car.

Thanks Cioc for that feedback. It's statements like that, and many others like it, that cinched the deal to go with John. I'm a decent hand under the hood and an aspiring driver, but suspension is one area I'm mystified by. I was fortunate with my first setup being very stable and a good mix, but I was ready to step up. Orlando made the same comment when he notified me that they were being setup on his car. His were also purple. I'm not sure if it's how I filled out my criteria form that made the difference.

Just curious how long have you had yours?

I've had mine for about two years now with no problems or concerns. It's nice to know there is at least one part of my setup that I don't have to think or worry about. You'll get used to your new found handling in no time.

Funny and so painfully true. I can't tell you how many times I have one eye that starts to close at the end of a long straight away thinking that my whole DSM universe is going to explode.

I dont worry about my car....if it blows up it blows up. Just have to replace the weakest link and move on. Eventually the car will be bullet-proof.

I used to have that attitude. Several thousands and a child later priorities shift if you know what I mean. I'd like to think my car is bullet proof but something always rears it's ugly head...like mice.

Wish I had the cash for Muellerized JICs. Does he ask for corner weights and other specs before he sets them up?

There's a lengthy application that you get to fill out before the build begins. Has some specific questions (such as mods, purpose, weights) and then lots of psychology like questions (on a scale of one to ten, rate tire wear compared to lap times).

It's a pretty in depth, as the race shop that does my alignments pretty much asked the exact same thing about how they were setup. John's also been very helpful in finalizing the alignment despite being a few states away. She should be set by Thur. pending some tuning before the weekend.

It's not a DSM deal but it is a winter (car) project. I previously alluded to the pinkcar>blackpinkcar upgrade. After half the winter of doing headgaskets and a few other things, I now have a functional blackpinkcar. Pinkcar is sold. Keep in mind that these are/were both winter cars and that blackcar (the talon) is still going to be back on the track eventually.

BTW, they were/are both manual trans. cars, so as not to be overly mundane.

Here are the after/before pic.s:

Well, I got the switch plate made up and put in the 1st part of this week. Things have been hectic at the "real" job lately getting ready to go to a convention in Vegas the 1st part of May so I have been swamped there. Other than that, like I said, I got it in and a few switches (fuel pump & fans) all mounted in there. Looks a lot better now that you cant see all (most) of the wiring under the dash. Still have a hole to fill in with some angled aluminum or plastic peices painted black to totally fill it in. And some wiring to clean up. But other than that, it is coming along how I pictured it in my mind.

And again I am no master fabricator here with just an idea drawn out on paper, some plastic and a dremel to work with. But like I said before, all this is for function more than it is any attempt to win a car show or fabricating contest. It works just how I need it to work and does not look like total crap Here is the pic of the switch panel in there.

Well I ordered my Innercooler earlier this week along with my Injectors so.....Should not be too long now. I am getting ready to go to Vegas tomorrow morning for 6 nights so all my energy and attention I am sorry to say have been gearing up for that.

I just got back my $600 from the government as well and it will be going to the labor so it should be within the next 2 weeks it goes to the garage to get torn down and ready to put all the new goodies on. I'll make sure the garage takes loads of pictures where they can and post them up here so everyone can see what is going with the car.
