Today when i was driving down the road, I got on it a little bit, and noticed I wouldnt boost above 10psi. I said ok, may be a boost leak, so i took it home and checked it out. Took off the intake pipe, checked vac. lines, and everything was fine. No shaft play on the intake side. Put it together and drove it up the street. When I hit 0psi as shown on my Autometer gauge, the car began to buck violentlly. The turbo sounded like it was still spooling up to about 10-12psi but i wasnt getting any of the power, and if i jam the throttle, it makes a loud whirring noise like a reciprocating saw. Now at WOT black smoke shoots out the exhaust. This all took place in a span of 15-30mins, and i have no idea what to think. Could it be a bad ISC controller? plugs or wires? bad turbo?

yep. same problem as mine it sounds like bro. I had a fat leak, and it wouldnt do that only once it hit a certain psi. This means u got a leak somewhere in your system that, when enough air starts goin thru it (whether it be at the certain psi, or rpm range) the hole will open up and rush all the air out, which is why the turbo spools way to much and u feel way less power.

simple as that. couldn't hurt to check your plugs/wires though too.

I thought my cat. may have been clogged, but after reading your post it makes more sense to me now. I ordered new plugs, wires, and throttle position sensor and I'll be checking that intercooler piping later today.

thanks and happy holidays :D

Well howdy ho, there was a big friggin crack in my exhaust manifold.
