Yesterday it started to get a little cold and I noticed that when I put the clutch in or in neutral and let the revs drop, they would go down to 600ish and the car would "catch" itself and bring them back up to 750. Today it was colder and I was able to drive to school fine but on the way back while I was in my neighborhood, the car stalled 3 times. I drove it around a little more in the neighborhood and it stared to stall eveytime I put the clutch in. Then it started to only idle really low 400ish and then "catch" itself and go back to 650ish instead of the normal 750. Anyone have any Ideas of what it could be? I know it might be a vaccum or boost leak but the guage shows normal -19. Also I heard about the BISS screw but do 2gs have this and would it get undone like that so quickly? I'm goning to try and switch back to the 2G bov to see if mine is leaking but if its not that what else could it be? Thanks BTW I can't get it to stall when I am standing still but the revs will drop.

I tried asking that same question about 2 weeks ago and no one replied. It seems no one really helps anyone anymore, but I'll let you know what I found out. Most likely it is your ISC motor that has failed. To check if this is the case, start your car and turn on the A/C, normally the idle will go up, and then resettle. If not, your ISC is most likely busted. Have fun paying to replace it.

If the A/C does affect idle, then it could be a loose BISS screw. Check vfaq.org or .com (i can't remember) for furhter diagnosis. I hope this helps!

thats cause no one wants to break the bad news to u.....if u said that everytime u push in the clutch.....ur car stalls???......thats the first sign of crankwalk....and seeing that u have a 95 GS-T.....then there is a 99% chance that is wats wrong......sorry to have to break the bad news to u bro......

I had it checked for crankwalk 2 weeks ago. Its not moving at all *knocks on wood* plus I just had it dynoed a week or two ago as well and it put down respctable #s for a T25 and I don't think they would have been like that if I was walking. Plus its when you take a left turn you have funny clutch realease, it sticks to the floor not stalling. At least thats genreally what happens. The problem misteriously went away while I tried to do it agian tonigh. I think I have a small leak in one hose though so I'm going to relpace it.

I don't think its the BISS screw because when I tried to test it agian tonight it idled fine and the BISS screw is still in there. I don't think the A/C test will work since I had my A/C belt taken off since the compressor is going and I didn't want it to sieze up and snap the belt and then that belt could break the timing belt and I would be in trouble. ;)

n/m....ur lucky if its not crank walk then....i just remember that about a year ago i was driving my friends 2g....and everytime i would push in the clutch....it would die....

Is crankwalk really only a problem on turbos? For a N/T it really isnt much of a problem is it? I only ask because I havent taken my car in to have it fixed yet so I would like to know if I possibly have crankwalk. Thanks, and I hope I didnt sound like a bastard before, it just makes me mad when people try to get help, and no one takes the time to help. Peace.

It CAN happen to any car but, it is rare. The 7bolt engines which are only turbo have more of a problem with it then most cars do. You should worry more changing your oil and plugs then crankwalk. ;)

I have a similar problem. My BISS has been replaced properly very recently. I also have a brand new factory ISC. But I still have this problem.

hey much did you pay for the biss screw and the isc do you have to purchase a whole new throttle body i have changed out just about everything and istill have that problem try checking these things

1.maf
2. coil pack
3 air filter
4.fuel filter
5.plugs
6.wires
7.alt
those are just a few things that could be wrong also check your hoses
peace hey anyone out there hit me back if you have any input maykaylagst is my pm

I ahve a1g and it does the same exact thing dont think it could be crankwalk though i am leaning to iac motor am going to take it apart this evening will let ya know what i find and adv ppls e-mail me ty

mine does that same sh@#. normally my car idles at 800 rpms. when i push in the clutch at anything above 1700 (+or- a few rpms) rpms it will stumble, then maybe go back to a normal idle. but it usually dies. if it dies and i restart it, its' fine. till the next time. i have to bring my rpms down with it in gear for it to run right and not die. sometimes it doesn't want to come out of it right away. i know its running very rich at idle. my injector pulse width is up in the 3's or 4's when its running bad. idle speed steps at 35 or something. when it idles perfect it my pulse width is 1.77 or 2.04, and 27 or 29 steps. i really have to believe this problem is my idle speed control motor. and some of you guys too. my car is 14 years old and has 129,000 miles on it. and on top of it, i took my throttle body off and sprayed carb cleaner in the idle speed control motor orifice, and the problem got a little wourse. i am gonna get a new one. i'll let ya know if it is a fix. later

It may be either one of your O2 sensors .......try checking your plugs to make sure they aren't fouling out. Is anything else going weird like headlights dimming in and out?

What would cause a brand new factory IAC stepper motor (ISC) to flutter, and not step 0 - 120 when a/c engaged?

I hooked up the car to a Snap-On diagnostics machine and we removed the IAC and saw that it was stepping properly. Turned out to be a vacuume leak.
