bad struts/shocks?

what does a car with bad struts feel like? I just noticed my car is handling diffretly if i go from side to side it kind of feels like the car is trailing. Its hard to explain. if i make a fast turn it kind of feels like the car wants to keep going while the wheels are turned. I am not sure if this is normal but when driving if the road is uneven when i go over it then i can feel it grab my tires and feel my steering will pull with it. what are the general symptoms of bad sturts/shocks?

Normally they will be bouncy, and bottom out a lot. If they are really bad like on my old car they will make your car sway back and forth on the freeway. But have you tried checking your air pressure? That could cause the symptoms your explaining.

I will check the air in the tires. I Just looked at them they looked but but i will check the psi. if its not that any one know of somthing else that might couse the car to act in that way?

I just checked my air and it is fine. I did notice one thing. When i get on it in 1st gear my back end really drops down alot. So i think it might be my struts. Would bad struts make a car feel like it is sliding when you make sharp turns? The car doens't slide ir just feel like it kind like alot of body roll. or could it be the springs?

i'm wondering the same thing you are, my car sways like that in the back and front now, and my wheels will clunk a slight bit if i try shaking them... worries the hell out of me, I'm always paranoid about my car.

My struts were so bad when i replace them ,the piston(shock)in side the strut would not come back up when depressed.Before i change them,everytime i hit a small hole,the streering wheel would shake.I sucked ass
