Hi guys!
I just replaced the tranny and clutch on my '95 GSX, and finally got the car back together. I put a few gallons of fresh gas in the tank, because the car was just about on empty. I try to start it, but it does not start. It sometimes studders, and sputs a few times and then dies. After about a dozen tries, it starts just fine, and is perfectly driveable.
The battery and starter work great. There is spark on all 4 cylinders. The next thing to check is fuel, I know.
The thing is this: the car was fully functional and acting normally up until the transmission failed. The car sat in a garage for about 6 months, until I had enough money to get my transmission rebuilt by TRE.
The other thing is that after the car is running for a few minutes and then shut off, it can be started again in one or two tries.
What could have happened while the car sat for that time to cause this problem? Can you guys name anything that I should go about checking first? Thanks in advance.
