knocking noise

i have a 95 gst and when my car is idling it will make a knocking noise sounding like its coming from the valve cover area near the coil pack. it does it sporadically, sometimes it won't do it at idle, sometimes it will and its started to do it under light throttle now. can anybody tell me what the @#$% this thing is? any help is much appreciated

Lifter knock, They all do that, my friends 95 gsx is real loud, my laser isn't to loud, but i can hear it while idling at a light. Has to do with oil pressure or something at idle "from what i've been told" but my friends aren't the brightest people
