stalling when driving

hey guys, my cuzin gots a 1997 eagle talon esi.
okay, heres the problem, while driving everyonce and a while, the car just stalls, and he has to pull over, and it takes him about 10 minutes to get the car running again

what is the problem?? we think its sumthing to do with the fuel system, but we dont know. we need help asap, thank you so much,

It would help to know what kind of mods (if any) he has done.

no mods, its stock, the only thing he has is a muffler, but i do not think a mufler would cause this problem?? maybe back pressure?? i got noooo klue, pleeeze help, thanks
