studderng stalling problems

I finally got my car to Charlotte....barely. The run was running good until I got on I-77, when the gas gauage read a half a tank but the gas light was on. As soon as the light came on the car started bucking like it was running out of gas. I pulled off and barely made it to the gas station. Filled up and drove home. The car studdered and stalled all the way home. Do you think some crap from the gas tank got stuck in the injectors? I poured some injector cleaner in there to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check the spark plugs ... could also be injector problem though
