ok I hooked up my boost controller to my stock turbo. I ran a line from my nipple on my lower innercooler pipe, to the bottom of the boost controller where the ball in it sits. I ran the top line straight to my waste gate. but for some reason its boosting at like 20psi, it might do more but as soon as i seen that i let off. It wont adj at all. whats the deal, does the factory wastegate run off of vacum or boost, if its vacum is that why the wastgate isn't opening, because of the boost holding the wastegate shut. I noticed on the stock set up it goes from the nipple on the filter pipe to the stock boost selaniod to the wastegate where is tees to the nipple on the lower intercooler pipe, this way sounds to me like it would run off of vacum created by the nipple on the air being pulled in by the turbo. If anyone knows whats going on please help. thanks corey sorry such a long post.

i think you need to connect the bottom hose on your boost controller, to the wastegate actuator. take the hose off of it, and just plug it up somewhere.

plug what up, why would you put the wastegate line on the bottom where the ball is the force would just press down on the ball and prevent any airflow, I not doubting you i'm just asking so don't take it the wrong way

Man, what kind of boost controller do you have? I have one from extreme motorsports, and the left side of the BC goes to the top of my BOV, and the right side goes to the left valve behind the injectors on the intake, and the bottom one goes to the wastegate. That is my set up, I guess I have no idea what you are using. Sorry.

The WGA is pressure actuated. Once the pressure is higher than the spring in the WGA the arm starts to move out and open the wastegate.

It also sounds like you have your MBC hooked up right. The boost signal need to be fed to the base of the ball valve. When it exceeds the spring pressure holding the ball down the valve should open allowing pressure to reach the WGA.

Disconnect the MBC and see how much pressure you have to apply to the input to get it to open. If it does open (I'm betting its jammed) then lower the test pressure to what boost your looking for and adjust the spring tension until the valve opens at thet pressure and reinstall it. Then you'll be in the general area of where you want it set and can adjust on the car from there.
