I am about to buy a 92 AWD Talon and I am going to be putting a motor from a 90 Talon into it. I don't have to much experience with AWD's and I was wondering how much of a b*tch this is gonna be. Can you pull just the motor out or do you have to pull the motor and tranny out? Or does the tranny have to be dropped first? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

I recently did an engine swap, I just pulled the motor and trans all at once, it wasnt to hard just a little tricky, youll have to slant it out to keep the trans from hitting the frame. I think it would be easier to just pull it all at once and dont forget to disconnect your driveshaft
;)

easyest yankin the trans with it - i agree.
half shafts can be yanked by removing 1 bolt on the control arm and puling out-ward (HARD) on the rim+tire
