Need Help Diagnosing Enging Code P0505

I had a check engine light come on, and went and got the code pulled. The code is p0505. It is a idle control system malfunction. Anyone know what can be done to fix this. I have seen a help post involving the 420A motor, but nothing on the 4G63 engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have the same code that popped up im thinkin its the isc idle control solenoid or idle control sensor or what ever it is needs to be replaced...

im takin it to satan this week ill keep you posted on whats the fix...

i have an extended warranty on the car so yea...

I just bought mine on Saturday from a dealer. I have a 30 day warranty so this should be covered. Let me know what you make out with for an answer.

Possibly the IAC(Idle Air Control Valve)? I know that same code got thrown on my Honda. That would be the first thing to check.

I finally got the car back and the IAC = idle air control was replaced and satan charged up the ass for it...

IAC motor = 54.25
CEL diagnosis = 108.50
service kit, throttle body(i think thats labor?) = 257.01


I had warranty coverage with a deductible of a $100 bucks so basically i could of fixed it for about 60 bucks...

I read somewhere in another post that the IAC cost 300+ which seemed a little high. I didn't think it would be 55 however. The CEL diagnosis is much higher then the dealer in my area also. What exactly was the serivice kit/throttle body?

i have no idea what the throttle kit thing was but probably the serivice advisor labeled the other way around
