I check out the TPS on my S-AFC, and at closed throttle it reads 0.45 volts. The factory manual says 0.48 - 0.50 is good, and it appears to make a smooth voltage gain throughout the range, so it appears I'm ok there.

Then I took a look at my Datalogger: SURPRISE: the throttle postion says reads 9% when I'm at idle and not touching the accel pedal at all. I checked the throttle body, and the butterfly is closed all the way, and the pull wire is not hung up or anything.

It appears the sensor with the single green wire that has a button which closes on its bottom when the throttle is all the way closed (also known as "Idle Position Switch") which is supposed to have continuity when closed and be non conductive when open is bad. This might explain why I get the rmmm rmmm thing at idle because the ECU thinks I'm a 9% throttle, when really I'm at 0%, and tries to compensate for this which starts the back and fourth cycle of rmmm, rmmm. (Idle Surge)

I'd appreciate it if someone could confirm that with the motor at idle, no foot on accel pedal and looking at the Datalogger, the "Throttle Position"
should read "0 %"

Thanks!

So 9% is as low as it reads at closed throttle?
Kinda strange. I still think the Idle stop is bad
as its out of spec with the manual....I'm getting partial resistance rather than compelte resistance at closed throttle.

Whe the Idle Stop switch is open, obviously, I'm getting an open circuit, but when the switch is closed I'm only getting 6 K of resistance instead of a completely closed circuit.
