How do you guys get the stock pulley off? I broke the 5-ton puller and the outter part of the stock pulley trying to get it off. I took off the left motor mount, and loosened the front one, and that's all I was able to lower it.
Any suggestions?

The picture may be misleading...I didn't thread the screw all the way in. I left like a 1/8 inch of the screw out, in my attempt to pull the pulley off the crankshaft. It never budged.

-Did you remove any bolt that you think might be use to secure the pully?Do you think that bolt on the center might have something to do with it ?

Ha! I remember when I went through that same shit with my RS. Broke a chunk of the crank pulley off trying to pull it off with pulley pullers.

When I got sick of fighting with that damn thing I drilled three holes in it, tapped em, and then proceeded to use a harmonic balancer puller to pull that thing right off.

red dots show where I drilled...

Oh, and if you're wondering. The af/x udp is microwave safe (when submerged in water), but that's a whole nother story. :D ...and don't go trying it cause I did it.

...yeah. I came up with that idea after staring at the af/x pulley thinking I would never get it on. Then I started thinking and soon realized why the guys at af/x were smart enough to put those three holes on their pulley. :p

Now I have a new problem. I can get the pulley off the crank, but the motor is not lowered enough to ffinish pulling it off. Ive taken off the passenger side motor mount, and lossened the front and rear motor mounts, and taken off my headers. It still is not enough clearence if I jack up the transmission. I only got it down like 1/2 inch. The "step by step" guide says I can lower it 1-2 inches by taking off the passenger side motor mount and loosening the front motor mount. What is my motor hanging up on???
