well ive always been curious about this. it seems i cant get a decent launch at all. if i slip my clutch too fast my car bogs then finally picks up. but when i slip it slowly i can smell that im burning the shit out of my clutch. no im not asking how to launch, im just wondering what this is. when i laucnh the same way on my friends WRX i squeal the tires, but ony my car........it just bogs. i watch all these dsm launch video and my car cant do that shit unless i slowly slowly slip the clutch and beat the shit out of it.

how high of a RPM are you sliping the clutch??? if ur sliping it at a to high RPM on a stock clutch, it ant going to hold, and its going to burn. wana slip at high RPM's, You need a stronger clutch.

hmm, there are alot of Factors, not just ur clutch Why ur Bogging, Try upping the RPM's. ur Tires might be Sticky Icky and arnt breaking loose. If ur Tires dont slip a tad and ur burning ur Clutch, You need a better clutch. Also Some people red line the fook on 1st and 2nd so the Car Catches up.

Try launching at around 5,000. Just don't side-step the clutch. Then you'll break stuff. Slip the clutch until the engine comes up to speed with you. Sure, you'll eat a little clutch, but you'll launch better.

I usually just slip the clutch. I've really only gotten one really good launch and it was at around 4500 RPM. I haven't gotten much practice, but I haven't gotten to race anyone either lately cause I got the car recently. Good luck.
P.S. - This is on a new stock clutch.:thumb: :dsm:
