WHat Could cause the ECU to not send any code??????????????? Just the battery?????? or anything else?

Ok, first do you expect it to send you any kind of code? If so, then are you checking for the code by looking for the check engine light ( which should come on when you start the car) or are you trying to pull the code off the diagnostic port? If the check engine light isn't coming on when you start the car then I'd say your problem could be the bulb for the CEL. If it is coming on, you're expecting a code (like if you unplug your MAS), and you don't get one then your ECU is fried. Does that help you?

You can look for an ECU off ebay. That's where I got mine, though it can be hit n' miss. You can also go to DSMTrader.com and see if somebody's parting out their car. They may sell you one for cheap. Ask them if they've ever changed the capacitors on the ECU or if they've ever leaked. That's a common problem with our vehicles. If you want a remanufactured ECU and have about $250 to spend, then go to http://www.ecmfinders.com/ or http://foreignecurepair.com/ . They can take a look at your old ECU and see if it can be rebuilt or just sell you a rebuilt one.

I hope this helps.

BTW, did you have any idling problems before your ECU died? If so, you might want to check out your idle speed control motor. The ISC failing is a common cause of fried ECUs as is leaky capacitors. It's pretty simple to test the ISC with a voltmeter to make sure it's working ok.
