A few days ago I started up my car and noticed that my interior lights..dont work.nor does the chime when you open the door with the key in the ignition or the one that tells you when the lights are left on.I dunno if its a fuse? or what but Im a tid bit worried anyone know what could be wrong?

I had a similar problem recently. All the lights u mentioned did not work along with most of the exterior lights. It turns out i had a short-circuit in the dash somewhere, i'm not sure where cuz i had a dealer look at it. They fixed that and now everything is cool. Hopefully that can help u out, sorry if it doesnt.

Do the lights come on when you open the pass door? It's more than likely just a driver's door pin switch.I've had to replace mine twice, I don't know if it's common in DSM's or if it's just the "twilight zone" I call my car.

The same thing happend to me with the pin switch it got stuck or it went bad or something and sometime when i opean the door the lights would not turn on so i replaced mine to and it was all good afterwards. Figured id let you know that but i ave a question How diod you pop the switch out of your car with a screw driver?

Mine don't work either. But then, that area is a total rust magnet for my car. The boot on my passenger side actually fell inside, leaving a big ugly hole, and my driver's side is starting to rust around the boot. I'm going to sawzall those sections out of a good condition junkyard car and graft them back on.

Here's a description for the 1G guys on how to fix it:

If that doesn't fix it, there's another connector inside the body that attaches to the wire that might need to be cleaned.
