idling problems???

I bought the car from a friend a few months ago and everything seemed ok. But not too long after, when i start the car in the morning, the idle would drop really low and i would have to keep gasing it for about 15 seconds before it goes back to normal. sounds like a bad isc? my friend did replace the isc valve with a USED one.

while driving a few weeks ago, my car couldnt rev past 3k, so i pulled over to check to see what was up. everything looked fine but it idled like crap. i turned off and on and it went back to normal. now, the same thing happened the other day and tripped CEL p0100(mass airflow circuit malfuction), and this time it took about 4-5 starts for it to go back to normal. a couple days ago, the thing starts and this time it wouldnt go back to normal after numerous starts. i changed the mas with a friends and still the same thing. could the mas plug be the problem? the car also sounds like it has big cams but its stock. im clueless at this point. any help would be appreciated.

I would check your timing, compression, and make sure you have no boost leaks by doing a boost leak test

timing is good, compression is 190 across. i dont have a boostleak tester at the moment but i dont think a boost leak would cause it to be like this because i can still drive it and rev it high. i switched out plugs and wires with my friends and still same result.

it sounds like a simmilar problem that i did. the idle screw had made its way out and has been running great from then on.
