Ok so I bought my dsm about a year ago. I drove it with no problems for about a month and a half until the steering started to act up. One day i went out for lunch and park my car in the parking lot. When I pulled into the space my pump screamed. Didn't think anything of it. Ate and on the way home it was fine until i drove into my drive way. It progress until i had no power steering. I drove it like that for about 2 weeks until i bought a new pump. I put the pump on tightened the belt bled the system. Ran perfect for about two months and now its doing the same thing again, but i think this pump is stronger because it still has pressure just squels. So i was reading forums with over vehicles and they mention that it may not be the pump but the belt could quite possibly be slipping and therefore the pump isn't spinning enough to create pressure. The problem is i checked the belt when i reinstalled the pump and it looked fine, no cracks. IDk what to do another pump is $120 and i don't want to pay that if it's temporary fix. Could i maybe clean the pulleys? I forgot to mention this but the fluid level does not drop at all when it squels. Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.
Thank You

How much deflection does the belt have?
It should deflect 1/4 inch if the distance from pulley center to pulley center is between 7 and 11 inches; the belt should deflect 1/2 inch if the distance from pulley center to pulley center is between 12 and 16 inches.
Does the belt have small cracks, is it greasy or glazed?
Buy a new belt. It's like 8$

heres a little mechanic trick.. If its the belt screaching tighten the belt just like lofty described, and if the belt is still indeed good and still screeching take a scotch pad and start the motor, put the scotch pad on the outside of the belt and let it go through some revolutions, usually this will take care of the problem.. Hope this works for ya if its just the belt being aggrevating

Yea I hope its the belt i can't really work on it until the weekend when I get home from college. just hope i have powersteering to get home LOL. 5 hour drive, yeah. Lol Thanks again for the input.
