anyone know where ic an get an MDP adapter to run it on my brake vacume line for my 6bolt swap i thought dsmparts had one but i can't find it

I am in the process of doing my 6bolt swap as well, the only thing I have left to find is a replacement turbine housing for a TD05H turbo, mine is all cracked around the wastegate flapper.

Another way of doing it is to go to any hardware store and get a 3/8 pipe to barb adapter Like this:

and then take a piece of 1/2" rubber hose and 2 hose clamps and clamp the hose to your MDP sensor and over the barb adapter then just run a vac line off the barb adapter to a T barb Like this:

and T into your Brake Booster Line. The T I used is a 3/8 x 3/8 x 1/4. I got it for like $3 shipped on ebay.

I'll take a picture of mine tomorrow and post here. Its late now or I would go outside and do it now.

Here is the problem, It all depends on weather or not he used his 1g or his 2g intake, with a 1g intake you cant plug the MDP sensor into the manifold, there is no port for it, that is why you have to T into the brake booster line.

If hes using his 2g manifold then he doesnt really need an adapter he can just use it stock unless the sensor went bad or something.

Correct.

He mentioned about a 6 bolt swap and I'm assuming he'll be using a 1g intake manifold, which as mentioned, has no provisions for the MDP sensor. The link I posted will work in this case as it is a mobile mounting point for an MDP sensor which then accepts a vacuum input, say from the brake booster line. The adapter that 1gDSM4g63 posted is for someone using a stock 2g intake manifold who wants to run an aftermarket MAP sensor (as you can read in the product's description). To determine exactly what the OP needs, we need to know what intake manifold will be used in the swap.

Couldn't find any newer threads! Wondering if anyone has found a source for the adapters to mate the 2G MDP sensor to the 1g intake manifold. Or if the broken picture links can be updated as to what others are doing for a solution.

thanks

Have you looked into using a 1997 Sonata 2.0L Map sensor?
Its a plug like the Mitsubishi plug but it already has a long vacuum nipple on it. So you can run your vacuum source to the nipple without an adapter.

I was more concerned about actually mounting it. I guess I need to get hands on one first maybe then I could ask a more educated question. Thanks for the quick reply.
