I put a red top optima batterie in my car and i was driving down the road, just bumping fine and then the cd player shut off? then it started turning on then off its got about 2seconds of turn on then it just shuts right back off....

I have no idea what is going on, any ideas?

I had this problem in a couple cars before. First off if the deck is after market, did you install it? The 2 times I had this problem was the ground wires\power wires on the deck, were loose.

As, well my friend has this problem in his car when his amp heats up it shuts off the deck and itself...

I agree with Crazy on this one. Double check all your ground wires to make sure that nothing is shorting out. I also had a similar problem with a kicker 400.1 amp, after a while it would get hot and shut off my amp/deck. Even if I didn't have it turned up past 1/3. If I turned it up any higher, it would instantly kick out. Kicker gave me a new amp, and I traced all my ground wires and found a short. You may have knocked something loose when you changed your battery! hope you get it fixed

Its an Alpine Head Unit.
It was INDEED the ground, came off... man people dont know how to wire anything up anymore....

Thanks for the help!
