I have a 90 tsi awd and it wont boost. when i start the car, it will vacuum at 20 and down to 0 when i get on it, then after about 1 minute, it will act like it is stuck at 20 vacuum and it wont move at all. my gauge is installed correctly, ive tried a different gauge, ive done a boost leak test and only found a leak at the throttle body shaft seals. also i can hear the turbo spooling. thanks

Any mods on car ? Fill out profile if you have any . Definately need to replace shaft seals . You will lose air/boost quicker than you realize .

Sorry, the only mods I have are the honeycomb removed from the MAF, a pocket logger, and a boost gauge. I looked into those seals at machv, but since I had a 90, they had nothing that would work for my throttle body. They said something about one of the seals is a different size.

It could possibly be a leaky vaccume line or something of that sort. I would definetly replace the shaft seals because that would eliminate one of your problems.
