Throttle Problems??

Lately my car has not wanted to start and when it did it would die soon after, I have checked everything, boost leaks, ecu, replaced the plugs, and today I played with the adjusting screw on the throttle body ( dont know what its called ) and it started right up without any problems, it idled fine around 750rpm but when i pressed the gas there is like a half second delay before it revs up any and after driving for a while it begins to act like it did before and just die, I feel like ive narrowed down the problem to this area of the car but what could be wrong with it and what should I do or replace??

Make sure there's not too much slack in the throttle cable.

Ive checked the throttle cable and it seems fine, hardy any slack at all.

well the ISC fiav and tps are all right there read about them and then go though the process of elimination. goodluck
