I recently went to get my car inspected. We put it on the obdII and it said it didnt read all of the codes. It read 5 of the 10 codes. You need to comlete 8 to pass. I drove the car 150 miles so it should of read them. I am running the stock ecu. Ususally it takes 30 miles to check the codes on most cars. What could it be? I know i have a 6 bolt, but even if somethin wasnt hooked up, it would throw a cel. ? I really need help, i need it inspected for college? Thanks :talon:

This is a common problem for DSM in places that use the rediness monitors as a checking flag. Mitsu boned the non-E-Prom computers and many will clear the rediness monitors every time they get shut off.

Search the boards, I know some have gone as far as getting their states to give a waver for the problem.

So if i put in an eprom ecu, it will check all the monitors? I have one, but when i put it in, the car runs extremely rich, so i think there is a tune on it or something. Also, if i put the eprom ecu in it, will a SAFC be able to lean it out?

Safc function will not be affected...it interpretes signals going into the ecu so no difference. Do you not have the stock EPROM chip??
