help with ignition

i just washed my engine with the power wash, keeping my air filter covered, and later that night my tach would jump around and the cel would come on....eve later that night.... my car totally turned off and will turn over but i cant get any spark.... any helpful info would be great....

Me thinks something didn't want a bath...

There will be a code stored in the ecu.

Please don't disconnect the battery.

I'm just up the road from you and I can pull the code for you tomorrow.

i already disconnected the battery today to see if resetting the ecu would help.... nothing happened.....what should i do from here.....
