Lower IC pipe Problems

OK so i just put a new licp on atoday and when i took the stock one off i noticed that there is reservoir there that i dont know what it is for and if i need it.

I have no clue why mitsu did that other than to keep the oil out of the IC and into that lil bin thingy majigger. I just threw it in the trash can and said #### it. Dont worry about it, my car ran fine for 2 years w/o it.

That chamber was designed to cut down on the intake sound and trill of a turbine. It is worthless and just adds extra volume which isnt a good thing in the turbo -> TB span.

ya its just a silencer.. when i removed mine i just drop kicked it accrost the street
