Okay first problem is my starter.. I have a 95 eclipse gsx and was wondering to install the starter does it require taking off the intake manifold? or can you do it without all that hassle. Also can I just buy a used starter off ebay or something to fix it? There rather cheap..

Second problem is I just ordered a downpipe that's 3" will it bolt up to the stock o2 sensor housing or do I need a specific housing for it?

Third problem.. I know there's an o2 sensor up on the o2 sensor housing is there another one somewhere by the cat converter? What if I'm running a straight through pipe and not using a cat converter? Do I need to buy one of the cat back exhausts with a bung on it? Help? newb extreme..

1. No you do not need to remove the intake manifold. (remove your UICP, battery and some other stuff and you should be able to get at it) I would also recommend getting a new starter if your going to go through the trouble of changing it.

2. If the downpipe was made for your car, it should bolt right up to the 02 housing.

3. You can eliminate the 2nd o2 sensor. I'm more of a 1g guy so I dont know the exacts but you can find more if you search it.

I bought the pipe off ebay just to get a quick one to replace mine because my flex pipe is leaking .. however it says it's for my car.. its a gigantic pipe and I could tell that one end of it is 3" but that seems to be the end of it where the cat connects.. the other end seems to be a little smaller I'm not sure if its 2.5 inches or not.. it seems a little bigger than 2.5 inches which doesnt make sense does it? I thought o2 housings were 2.5 or 3.. anyways heres the pipe... so do I need a new o2 sensor housing for it.. it also doesn't look like the one in the picture it actually looks like it fits perfect but I'm not sure about the bolt up part..

I have done all of those, ya, the starter is like a water pump. replace it when there!!
Second, if you ordered a "DSM" 2G downpipe, then it will bolt to any o2 housing that fits our cars ( evo3, 2G, ported)
Second, I am running no cat, you can either eliminate the 2nd o2 or do what I did.
When my exhaust came, I had a downpipe, catback, and testpipe, I brought the test-pipe to a machining shop, and had them weld in a bunge into the testpipe, so I am still running the 2nd o2 sensor, but custom testpipe.

I agree with all 3 of those!

The starter is just a little difficult b/c you have to work where you can't really see. It may be easier to remove the battery.
