Now another problem

Car is 91 Talon Tsi Stock. Just put new ECU and now car has weird buzzing noise at high RPM coming from motor. It is boosting very slow and when it gets to full boost about 3500-4000rpm it has a noise that shacks the whole car. No boost leaks and all new exhaust gaskets, any inout would be great.

well if all you did was replace the ecu and all this started hapnin Id have to say its the ecu. unless theres more to it than that, and there alll ways is!

do you know if by any chance your turbo is gone? when i first got a dsm my turbo would make like a jet sound and increase boost very slowly. To top that off it would start to move really bad keeping the rpm's under 4,000.

I was thinking of the turbo but there is no shaft play. Well im looking for a 14b and a ecu right now

Give me a bit more information. Was the car running perfectly fine? My understanding is all you did was replace the ecu and now your car isn't running the way its suppose to. It can also mean somethings wrong internally. Or it can be something as simple as a boost leak.

It was running like crap for about 2 weeks, it had boost leaks, and what seemed to be a bad ecu. Well first fixed boost leaks and car still ran like crap. It seemed like the boost would stick(weird problem). I have dsmlink on my Laser so I put that ECU in and adjusted for injectors and MAS and it started right up and ran great. I also had a ecu from my vr4 that i ran in the Laser when the Laser's ECU getting chipped, ran fine in Laser. I ran the VR4 ecu in the Talon for 1 day it ran good all day untill i shut it off at night and cleaned the interior in my garage. When I went to drive it it made the buzzing noise from the motor/trany/turbo? and had no power.

I started car today to drive it to my garage and the head sounded like a diesel truck. It didnt do the noise this morning but I tried switching the ecu and it started but made a new diesel noise. What would be making this noise. Lifters?
