I finally got my Idle problem takened care of, the vacuum line that goes from the throttle body to the EVAP near the cam gears.

However, when it's running i heard this hissing noise, I found out that it was coming from this prong/valve that I capped off, assuming it was "Cruise Control", and when i plug it off completely with my finger the idle drops...and runs a lil smoother, I guess the cap isnt completely doing its job.

My question is...should it just stay capped off or should I make a line that leads somewhere...?

I'll add pictures later.

If it went to your cruise control unit and you either don't have CC anymore, or don't want it, just cap off the vacuum port. If it idles smoother when you put your finger over it, then your cap is most certainly not working properly. Find something else that'll do the job.

This valve can be found behind the intake manifold, on its back side, the set of three is farthest to the left, the valve in specific I'm talking about is the Middle one.

I know the left one goes to the FPR, and the right goes to the EGR...but another member suggested the middle one was a cruise control, and if I dont have it just cover it up...I have a 95 GS, I dont think I have it...read above for my diagnosis/problem.

If I SHOULD just cap it off...obviously the one Im using isnt good enough...any suggestions for a better cap?

Oh, that's not a "valve," its just a nipple, or a vacuum port. Yeah, it is intended for cars with cruise control, which you don't have - so it needs to be capped off.

Sorry, no suggestions there. Just look for something that'll fit snuggly.

LoL...What can I use...Superglue or something LOL....I'm planning on trashing this engine when it reaches 250k...(currently 150k)

I'll buy a low milage rebuilt 420a and Turbo it after the current engine makes another 100k miles on it.

hmmm...trying to think of what I can use.

LOL Go to the dealer and ask for part #M03580172. I can't believe they have a part number for that...

Don't do that, give it to me.

That looks to be a 1/4" barb fitting, pick up a 1/4" nipple cap from the store then zip-tie it.

Ya cap that off. My cap somehow feel off and after awhile my check engine light came on and my car idle was very irratic. Once I found out that was the problem I capped it off and my car is running great again. Also my check engine light went out after about 100 miles.

I was trying to figure out what the hell my TEST CODE P0412 was...I fixed the Throttle Body Vaccuum, and we tested it again...STILL came up.

Then after doing a CARFAX report, and seeing how there was a RECALL for "Aspiration System"...I put it in the search, and found that several other people with 95 Eclipse GS, had the same codes, had the recall, took it in to the dealership, and it fixed the P0412!!

So I know how to fix that problem!!!

I think the only problem I have left, is it needs Clutch Fluid...so i think...because it shifts fine when the car isnt on, but as soon as the car is on, and you engage the clutch, doesnt want to go in gear just right....so yeah...im hoping it just needs fluid, and i need new spark plugs/wires, and new sunroof tracks. oh and bodykit, and tighten up the exhaust. ### it has an exhaust leak.
