Heres My Problem.
about the last 2 weeks whenever I step on it in 3rd gear boost rises past its uncontrolled point. like by the time I get to 5000 rpms its past 15psi. and I've got the Boost controller turned allthe way down.
1. I have a Ported o2 housing
2. the wastegate flapper door moves freely
3. I hooked a pressure source directly to the actuator and it opened, just did'nt seem like all thew way. the part where the actuator rod makes the second bend circled in red in binding on the actuator braceto the turbo.
4. when I applied air pressure to the actuator, the actuator rod popped off the flapper door leaver. I cut a washer and crimped it on the part of the flapper door leaver where the rod connect to so that it would'nt pop off.
So heres my final thoughts,
1. the flapper door seems functional, not binding
2. should the flapped door need to open more
3. is there a problem with my profec-b not opening the actuator.
3. The problem is that I believe that the flapper door is not opening up enough. how to fix??
4. should there be some type of retaining pin clip ect. on the wastegate flapper door leaver where the rod goes onto..I cut a washer and used it as a type of e-clip.
